Avninder Upadhyay, DDS

Goal-driven, compassionate, and exceptionally skilled: These are the ways in which Dr. Upadhyay DDS is often described. Dr. Upadhyay has been a staff Dentist at Community Health Services, Hartford for over 13 years and has provided excellent leadership to the Dental department as Clinical Director for 8 years. Dr. Upadhyay has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry as well as Master’s Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from India. She then went on to complete Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency and Fellowship from University of Connecticut health center, School of Dental Medicine. She also was an adjunct faculty at UCONN, before embarking on her long-term clinical journey here at CHS. She is an active member of American Dental Association (ADA), Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA) and Hartford Dental Society (HDS) and believes in continuously keeping herself updated with all the technological as well as clinical advancements in dentistry by attending CE courses.

Dr. Upadhyay is extremely dedicated to overall health and wellbeing of her patients. She strongly believes in patient education and continuously works towards assessing individual patients’ needs and discussing their dental conditions and options. It is her mission to create a strong dentist-patient relationship and thus providing “DENTAL HOME” to the patients.

When she is not working, Dr. Upadhyay loves to travel and meet new people. She relishes reading educative and informative publications, has profound interest in art and loves to draw and paint. She loves to spend time outdoors with her two adorable kids.
